Jim Thorpe School District

Our school community encompasses approximately 150 square miles ranging from the historic town of Jim Thorpe at our lower boundary to our picturesque developments at our upper boundary that embody the recreational spirit of the Pocono region of which we are a proud part.

Students in the district attend one of our three up-to-date facilities that offer our diverse population a wide variety of academic offerings while also providing a complete menu of extracurricular, co-curricular, and athletic activities. We are proud that our students have access to the latest innovations in educational technology through the first one-to-one initiative in Carbon County, providing students with iPads in Grades K-12. Our students have had the opportunity to showcase their expertise in local and state academic competitions.

Jim Thorpe Area School District is privileged to partner with other educational providers from our earliest learners in the Right From the Start program (birth to five years) or our Pre-K Counts attendees to our most able academic students at the high school level who can earn college credits within our dual enrollment program in conjunction with Lehigh Carbon Community College.

We are privileged to serve our community, but most importantly, the students who ARE Jim Thorpe Area School District.
